Convert current in Amps to electrical power in Kilowatts (kW). Supports both single-phase and three-phase calculations for generator and motor sizing.
For general estimates, use 0.8. For resistive loads like heaters, use 1.0. For motors, check the nameplate (usually 0.8-0.9).
3-phase power includes a square root of 3 (approx 1.732) multiplier because power is delivered via three alternating currents offset by 120 degrees.
Use PF 0.8 for generators.
